This week's report will be short and sweet! For the first time since I had my son 11 years ago I'm below the 230 pound mark. That alone is a huge deal for me! Still battling the cold/bronchitis and missed a workout but somehow managed to lose almost 5 pounds! Each week the FIT plan gets easier and easier and becomes more of a lifestyle habit instead of something to consider a challenge. Trust me, if I can do this, any one of you can. I have absolutely no self-control in certain areas...cravings, inner monologue, shopping. Cravings I have under control (appetite suppressants!) Can't say there's much hope for the other two.
I've tried dozens of ways to get healthy in the past and I know not any one thing is going to be the answer for me (or maybe any of you) but I'm finding it's the combination of guidance, nutritional support, and encouragement (and some newly found willpower) my FIT coach is giving me that's working for me. All those things and adding a workout regimen to my schedule. Even though I like to pretend I hate going to the gym, deep down I am so glad/satisfied/proud of myself/whatever that I went. Don't tell anybody but each week I give in to vanity and take a close examination in the mirror of what muscle has popped up this week and which fat roll is slowly (but surely) disappearing.
After 35 years in this body I figure I should probably take care of it as it's the only one I'm going to get! It's not too late to start the new year taking care of yours!
