This week's weight loss was a total of 1.4 pounds. I was disappointed for a millisecond but a loss is a loss, right? I'm over the 20 pound mark! That's something to be proud of. I started my FIT journey at 249 pounds. On my own personal "thermometer" of weight loss, I'm almost 25% to my goal! I'm feeling and looking better than I have in a very long time.

I tried a cardio boxing class the other night. My knuckles are still sore and I'm pretty sure the punching bag won the fight. But, I was glad to try something new. A full hour of cardio. Whew!

One of the nicest things someone can do for one who is trying to lose weight is to give encouragement and praise. I admit I'm definitely one of those people who needs that. It keeps me going and I can't tell you how encouraging the FIT staff is! I love going in every week. I feel like I'm recharging my battery and when I leave the office, I'm ready to face the week's weight loss challenges. For me, those challenges are everywhere...on menus, at parties, at the grocery store. In a past life I was an outside sales rep. If any of you have done this for a living you know that it changes your driving habits. You learn to drive while reading signs, marquees, "coming soon" banners. Pretty soon you're so accustomed to driving that way that you don't even have to think about it. Dangerous combination for me as I notice everything and could be easily talked into buying beachfront property in Tijeras by a 3 year-old. I will say it until I'm blue in the face (which would be quite a feat for a tan person like me) - the appetite suppressants work! I still look at the lit-up street invitations but I don't really have the cravings to RSVP.

Drive safely!
