Yep, you read that right. Exactly two digits changed from last week to this week. Not numbers...digits. BP was the only thing that changed. I did everything I was supposed to do and even included adding more cardio work. The appetite suppressants are still working very well. After talking to my FIT counselor about this I discovered that it's normal to plateau but you just have to keep at it and you'll break through that barrier. We also discussed maybe not getting enough calories although I was adding more exercise. If your body doesn't get enough calories to use for fuel it goes into "starvation mode" and holds on to what you do eat thus, no weight loss for me this week. It's sort of a defense mechanism. Our bodies are amazing, aren't they?
On the flip side, I lost another dress size! So even though I didn't lose any actual weight, I managed to lose enough in inches these past 2-3 weeks to go down to the smallest size offered in the store I shop in. I haven't worn this size (14/16) since 1997 - the year the Spice Girls and a little movie called "Titanic" took over America.
So what I'm saying is that even though I didn't lose an ounce this week I'm not discouraged. Not even a little bit! Every week on FIT I'm dropping fat and inches, increasing my stamina and energy, and loving every minute of it!
