As long as I remember I've been on one diet or another. I would eat when I was happy, sad, tired, bored or stressed. I always thought about calories, but the craving to eat always got the best of me.
Being overweight, I found activities with my friends to be less than fun.
Several years ago, I got to the place in my life where walking a single city block would tire me to the point where I would often need to sit down. At this point, I visited my doctor looking for an explanation. My doctor did every test available, from treadmill to hyper chamber stress test. He drew blood for examination, had me tested at the Heart Institute, he really gave me the works. Finally he sat me down and, fortunately, he said nothing was physically wrong with me. I was overweight and out of shape.
Following my doctor's pronouncement, I started the South Beach diet which I followed for 4 months, losing 12 pounds. I felt good, but within 3 months I put on 15 pounds.
Almost a year ago I ran into a friend from out of state who I hadn't seen in several months. In fact I didn't recognize her at first, she had lost 30 pounds and looked fantastic. For almost the entire party I sat with her and questioned her about this plan she was on and how it worked. She told me all about it and I looked for this plan in New Mexico.
Finally in early November of 2008, she told me the plan she was on was opening in Albuquerque and I called Fit Weight Loss Center and scheduled an appointment for the early part of Thanksgiving week.
By the end of February 2009, I lost 31 pounds and had never been on a more comfortable diet. I never felt tired, had lots of energy and Tracy Nymeyer and her staff were always available to answer my questions and to give me encouragement from week to week.
I am happy with the compliments I get and I'm happy to answer questions about how I lost this weight and how I feel. My exercise regimen is my own design and therefore I'm sticking with it easier than if I went to a structured exercise plan.
Getting on the scale the first time was the hard, but after that I looked forward to each week to learn how much I had weight I dropped. I lost as much as 8 pounds one week and the quick change in how my clothes fit me was the best of all.
Fit Weight Loss Center has worked the best for me of all the plans I've tried over my 61 years. I would say to give it a try but do the plan as outlined, it is truly remarkable.

Number one, I can't live without Chinese food, and the pre-packaged food systems that I tried were very expensive and the cardboard boxes they came in tasted better (with a little salt.) The cost of those meals is over $100 a week for one person. Also, it has taken my best friend a year to lose 36 pounds and on the FIT program, I've lost the same amount in 4 months!
On the FIT system, I have learned portion control of real food, the benefits of regular exercise, and have seen faster weight loss results for less cost.
I also appreciate that the program is medically supervised and I know I'm losing weight in a healthy way. With the money I've saved, I'm going to plan a beach vacation this year and wear a new swim suit.

Doug’s Story - July 2009
In January 2008, at 265lbs, I was declined health insurance because of my weight and medical history. However the insurance company did tell me that if I was willing to get a physical and have liver enzyme tests, as well as the usual ones, that they would "allow me to reapply." I hate doctors and managed to procrastinate for a year, even with my wife reminding me that I needed to do something about my health.
At the beginning of this year, I promised myself that I was going to spend 10,000 hours over the next 10 years to develop and maintain a "sustainable lifestyle." I made the goal of spending 3-4 hours per day on my health, and to have a physical by the end of January. As most New Year's resolutions do, once making the proclamation, it was immediately forgotten and nothing happened.
In February, my wife reminded me of my goal and said she had found a drug store that was doing free blood screening for cholesterol, lipids, and blood sugar. I went to that and got bad numbers across the board, but what scared me was the blood sugar. The tech told me to visit a doctor within 2 months. My blood sugar was only borderline high, but I had never had that happen before. Strike 1!
So, I decided to join a health club! Procrastinated until the end of Feb to go to the club and when talking to the Physical Therapist /Owner, he gave me all of the information about the club, and a Doctor's release form that was required for me to join. OUCH!! Strike 2!
Most of March went by, and then I get a call from a new client. I go to the client's house, fix her network, and then ask what e-mail to send the invoice to. She says *****@fitweightlosscenter.com. "What's that?" I asked. "It's a Doctor supervised weight loss program." she said.
Ok, Ok, so the universe is talking to me. I go to the website, get the phone number and give a call.
I started with FIT on April 7, 2009 and as of today, July 30th, 2009, I have lost 60 pounds.
The program is a miracle. I feel better than I have ever felt before in my life. The appetite suppressant allows me to eat only what is on the food list, and I am doing regular exercise. I am back to the weight I was in my twenties.
I should be on maintenance in the next couple of weeks, and looking forward to keeping the weight off for the rest of my life. I know that the hard part is coming, but I really feel like FIT has given me a fantastic head start!
How is Doug doing October 2009:
Everything is going great! I have been between 185-190 for a month now, I haven't been too tempted by foods that used to tempt me, but I have pretty much stayed low carb. I just am eating more calories. I had my body fat percentage measured at my gym, and I am at 18% body fat! I still feel like I am at the beginning of this process, but I am amazed and thrilled with how I feel, how strong my body is, and how good I look. I have to make it a point to look in the mirror a lot, because I have avoided them all of my life. I still sometimes "feel" fat, and looking in the mirror reminds me I'm not.
As my wife just said, WOW, what a gift! Thank you so much for all that you have done for me!

The FIT program was the easiest diet I have ever done! I have tried them all; Weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Atkins, and Fit for Life. They all work but after about two weeks my energy level drops and I have not lost that much weight and have cravings for all the things I am not supposed to be eating.
When I started the FIT program, I thought it was going to be like all the others. But the first week I lost 8 pounds and the second week I had lost another 5 pounds and soon I had lost 20, 30, and then 45 pounds. It took 4 months to lose the weight but time flew by and every week I was happy to get on the scale to see more weight had come off.
The appetite suppressant helped me to stay on the diet with no hunger or cravings and the amino acids, B-12 and B-6 shots gave me great energy during the whole process. The program has been put together beautifully and through the process my body reshaped itself.
I used to have a small waist and large hips. Pants never fit me right and were either too small in the hips or too large in the waist but at the end of the FIT diet I could try on any pair of pants and they would fit perfectly to my proportions. So not only did I lose 45 pounds but my body with the help of the fat burners reshaped itself. Now shopping is a pleasure, instead of having one pair of pants that sort of fit, every pair of pants I try on works.
I have kept the weight off since ending the program July 2008 and have learned how to eat to keep the weight off for my lifetime. It has been a liberating experience and I hope many more people have the success that I did. I highly recommend the FIT diet. It was the easiest diet program I have ever tried, it is healthy and it WORKS! It is absolutely the most successful diet I have ever been on.

I had been in shape and petite my entire life, with minimal effort. I pretty much ate what I wanted and was not into structured exercise. If I did put on a few pounds it was very easy to lose the weight. After I got married and I entered my 30’s my metabolism began to change and I started gaining weight and continued to eat what I wanted. After I had a baby it was even more difficult to lose the weight. I began working at a hospital in 2007 and it was enlightening for me to be surrounded by health professionals and to see the reality of the consequences of being overweight. I knew I had to do something. A friend of mine had been on the program and lost a significant amount of weight – so I thought I would try it. That was April 2008 and I have lost 63 lbs to date. The program has taught me about portion control and the support of the center has allowed me to succeed in my weight loss goal. I went from a size 16 to a size 6 in six months. I started exercising everyday and for me that is key to keeping the weight off and feeling energized. I have 10 more pounds to go and have never felt better!

FIT has helped me peel off pounds and change the shape of my body. Through their all-important counseling and "cheerleading," I have finally restructured my poor nutrition and eating habits. Having been overweight all my life, and considering potato chips as my daily vegetable fix, I've finally internalized how I've sabotaged every diet I've ever tried.
The amino acids and calcium pyruvate had a great deal to do with my current success. As an aging recipient of Medicare, I did not take the appetite suppressant, relying instead on the increased protein and elimination of carbs approach. The unwanted pounds have dropped off at a fairly healthy pace, about 2 pounds per week. Since beginning the program, I've lost 30 pounds, and best of all, subtracted 4 - 5 inches overall. My BMI has decreased 6 points. I've gone from an extremely tight fitting size 16 plus, to a comfortable, actually loose size 12. I've taken great delight in tossing all my "boxcar" britches with the elastic waist, and buying trim fitting jeans and shorts. My next goal is to purchase a belt to show off my now visible waist. I've never worn a belt, since it would mean tucking in shirts/blouses, and the belly fat would have precluded that!
Having internalized---finally---the importance of balanced nutrition, I feel like FIT has truly helped me to become fit for life.
Started FIT July 9, last visit Sept 3, with a total of 8 visits. Starting weight 183lbs today 153 pounds. BP @start 126/80, BP now 116/70. BMI Start 34.8, now 29.

I am very excited about this program. With two teen-aged daughters and lots of activities going on every day and every night, I became a fast food junkie. Fast food was the quick and easy, no mess, no stress answer. Unfortunately, the pounds we packing on and I couldn't get control of my cravings. This program took my cravings away completely. Without the cravings, I could manage what I was eating and the pounds melted off. I've tried other diets, always losing about a pound a week. That just wasn't enough motivation for me to continue and I would always quit. With this program, I lost 7 pounds in the first week - That's Motivation! This program is soooo easy and it works. The hardest thing was remembering to stop and eat because I didn't get hungry. My goal was to lose 20 pounds, and I reached that goal in 5 weeks. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to lose weight easily and quickly.

I started with FIT the second week of September 2009. I was 133 pounds, which is a relatively low weight when compared to people of all sizes; however, I am 4’11” and in my mid-50s – okay, in my late mid-50s. At 133 pounds, I was not comfortable with the way I looked, and that was the primary reason I started the FIT Protocol. I simply wanted to be comfortable with the way I looked.
I wanted, like so many women, to drop a few sizes, a couple inches. And I have. I want from a very snug size 10 to a size 2. I have taken 4 1/2 inches off my hips, 6 inches off my waist, and 3 inches off my bust. However…
What I had not expected – and what had, honestly, never been my goal – was that physically I feel so much better; I never thought that 23 pounds would make such a difference. Since February 2009, I have had problems with arthritis in my big toe, which has made it difficult for me to walk for any length of time. I was simply in too much pain. I couldn’t even walk barefoot in my own house without limping. My feet needed cushioning, and in May, I was fitted for a special orthotic to help with the pain and told to wear “sensible” shoes that provided enough support.
I figured that’s the way it would be for the rest of my life: Pain and sensible shoes.
Well, now at 110 pounds, I may still have arthritis – I don’t know because I haven’t been back to the doctor – but I am not in pain. I can walk barefoot. And I can even wear heels.
Thank you, FIT.
